Important: To integrate with Wordpress.org, your site must be self-hosted on WordPress.org, not on Wordpress.com.
Wordpress.org allows you to host your own blog or website, giving you full control, while Wordpress.com is a hosted platform where your site is managed directly by WordPress.
To connect your self-hosted WordPress.org site to Pressmaster, follow these steps:
Go to Pressmaster Settings:
Navigate to Settings → Integrations in your Pressmaster account.
Find the WordPress.org integration card and toggle the switch to enable it.
Retrieve Your WordPress.org Credentials:
You will need the following details from your WordPress.org site:
Site URL
Application Username
Application Password
Follow the steps below to retrieve this information:
Log in to your WordPress.org Admin Panel.
Click the drop-down menu in the top right corner next to the user icon.
Select Edit Profile.
Copy your Username from the Profile page.
Go back to Pressmaster and paste the copied Username into the Application User Name field.
Generate an Application Password
In your WordPress.org admin panel, locate the New Application Password Name field. Users → Profile
Enter a name for the password (“Pressmaster”) and click Add New Application Password.
The system will generate a password. Click Copy in the password field.
Go back to Pressmaster and paste the copied password into the Application Password field.
Open your WordPress.org website in a browser.
Copy the full Blog URL of your site.
Go back to Pressmaster and paste the copied URL into the Site URL field.
Click the Connect WordPress.org button in Pressmaster.
If the connection is successful, you will see a confirmation message.
Before you start publishing, you can customize your integration settings:
Publish: Your articles will be published automatically to your WordPress.org site.
Draft: Your articles will be saved as drafts within your blog, allowing you to review and edit them before publishing.
Choose the option that best suits your workflow, and you're all set!
Now you’re ready to publish your articles automatically to your WordPress.org blog!
